What are the best vitamins, herbs, etc for the rubber (as in the mouth) for health?
In addition to flossing and brushing twice a day, I was wondering what foods or supplements that you can take to improve or stabilize the condition of the gums (and therefore my teeth). I seen reports that vitamin C and vitamin A are very good, but I would check. Thank you!
Vitamin C is essential for healthy gums (scurvy is a consequence of the absence of C) also need calcium and fluoride rinse is an excellent idea. Gum disease is caused by bacteria plate, vitamins and herbs not eradicate the bacteria in the mouth. Healthy people are better able to fight bacteria, but the best we can do for oral health is the brush thoroughly and carefully silk every day and limit sweet foods which tend to make plate grow faster. Of course, any vitamin or herb that promotes a healthy immune system helps your white blood cells to fight bacteria
