How to control the heat of the curry?
I like the taste of curry, but my family can not stand the heat when I prepare shrimp from Thailand and as vegetables. I ordered this in a Thai restaurant and called sweet. and gone, but the flavor of curry is still heavy. So to try to reduce the amount of curry at home, not the intensity of flavor. I used the powder red curry and coconut milk for most of the mixture.
There are different styles of curry powder, mild heat available in most supermarkets and specialty stores. Sometimes fried spicy olive not only reduce the salt / heat a little, but also develop a richer flavor. Like most species in the curry powder are soluble in oil and benefit from a jump in oil. If it is still hot then maybe go back on the amount you use. If your recipe is a play that deals with sauté onions or other vegetables … I like doing it first then at the end of this process to turn the heat down a little, then toss in the curry powder and cook slightly. Stirring constantly. so after 30 seconds one minute. Then continue with the recipe as is. This works much better than just dumping the curry powder or other spices in the recipe for another time. Flowers taste. This technique of blowing up whole spices shows revenue growing and works very well for Latin / Mexican dishes as well as the Middle East.
