For a saltwater aquarium, use a water conditioner enough to tap water safe?
I'm not sure if I should spend the money in a filter if you use water conditioning RO would be sufficient for use in a water tank sea? What use? and how it worked for you?
I suggest you start by contacting your water supplier and request public a copy of your most recent water analysis. The supply of water varies around the U.S. (and global). When I started my tank saltwater first, he had no problem with tap water, more conditioning – High natural pH, and that many impurities. When I moved a few years ago, running water to its new location had a pH much lower (now I have to add lime water to get the pH above 7.8) and there are nitrates and phosphates in water (which does a good job of fertilizing unwanted algae).
